SPEAK

This is a poem my mother wrote. I told her I would post it on my blog. She said it's not finished, but it seems complete to me. Now everyone will see where I get my poetic prowess from. :-)

Speak up
Don't speak down
Speak loud or soft
Speak to the mountain until it becomes a plain
Speak to the valley of dry bones
Speak! Speak! Speak!

Speak words of love not hate
Speak peace not war
Speak health not sickness
Speak wealth not poverty
Speak faith not doubt
Speak up not down
Speak loud not soft
Speak to the mountain
Speak to your valley of dry bones
Speak! Speak! Speak!

Just open your mouth and speak.
What you speak can make you or condemn you
So speak life not death
Speak! Speak! Speak!
