Then
God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the
Earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of
the air, and over every living thing that moves on the Earth.” Genesis 1:28 (NKJ)
Genesis chapter one, God gives us
instructions. He tells us that we are in
charge of the Earth, but it is like we did not get the memo. Instead of us being in charge, it seems as if
the world is in charge of us. God told
us to subdue the Earth and take dominion over it. Yes, man has subdued the world at large in many
ways, but when it comes to our own personal world (our personal Garden of Eden)
it does not seem as if we get it. We must walk in obedience to God's command, subdue and take dominion of our Garden of Eden, our personal domain.
