Jesus prepared for 30 years to carry out a three
and half year mission. Preparation takes
time. We do not like when things take
too much time. We lack the patience and
at times feel like we are not doing what we are supposed to be doing. We must look at Jesus’ example again. While in preparation I am sure Jesus was
still doing meaningful things like cultivating relationships and I suppose He
had a very fulfilling career as a carpenter.
While God is preparing us to be immersed into our destiny we should
still be content where we are. Paul says
in Philippians 4:12 that he learnt the secret of being content in all
situations. Of course, he got that
example from Jesus, as he said in I Corinthians, he follows Christ’s example.
